Job Summary

The Warehouse Receiver’s primary goal is to process receiving transactions and maintain inventories of materials, equipment, supplies, and products within Parq Vancouver facility. The Warehouse Receiver will be required to conduct the receiving of product into the property, checking the delivery for accuracy, comparing the received items against the department’s purchase order, break down and store the received items and deliver items to outlets in a timely manner. Further, the Warehouse Receiver will maintain proper rotation of product, report par level variances to the department head, and fill requisitions for interdepartmental transfers.

Job duties

    • Receive deliveries, check for accuracy, and stores products as required
    • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical inventories with records
    • Generate and/or review inventory reports
    • Match purchase requisitions with invoices and forward to accounts for payment processing
    • Inspection and quality control of delivered shipments at warehouse
    • Data entry and basic follow up with vendors to expedite current orders or coordinating deliveries
    • Produce requested reports and order summary for the Finance department as requested
    • Performs all other job-related duties as requested

What you bring

    • Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a hospitality environment with a minimum of two (2) years’ working in a purchasing/receiving position
    • Must understand quality standards and be able to enforce them with suppliers and delivery personnel
    • Oral and written communication skills for use with vendors, departments, and management
    • Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities
    • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge of BirchStreet is an asset.
    • Valid GPEB license
    • Serving it Right Certification
    • Food Safe Level 1 Certification
    • Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
    • Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
    • Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude
    • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of inventory/delivered items
    • May be required to crouch, kneel down, bend, reach when completing daily tasks and required to move around the loading dock/warehouse areas
