Tour Guide 1

BC Hydro is seeking eight Tour Guides to provide an engaging visitor experience at the Stave Falls Visitor Centre. These casual temporary positions will begin on February 12, 2025, and end on October 17, 2025. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with hours varying based on availability and visitor center needs.

  • Greet visitors as ambassadors of BC Hydro and provide information on self-guided and guided tours.

  • Conduct guided tours, explaining electricity generation, facility history, and current BC Hydro initiatives.

  • Respond to inquiries and assist visitors via phone or email, referring them to appropriate resources.

  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to process admissions and retail transactions, handling cash and daily reports.

  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, checking safety equipment, and taking meeting minutes.

Tour Guide Leader - Stave Falls Visitor Centre 2025 season

  • Act as the work leader for Tour Guides, providing direction, training, and scheduling.

  • Schedule and book tours, while addressing escalated customer service issues and inquiries.

  • Maintain knowledge of electrical systems and local attractions, serving as a resource for staff.

  • Support daily operations of the Visitor Centre, ensuring equipment and facilities are well-maintained.

  • Perform various administrative duties, including processing invoices and maintaining records.

Service Contracts Administrator

Accounts Payable Service Centre Specialist

The specialist will also support process improvements by identifying recurring issues, suggesting solutions, and assisting with system training and development.

Key tasks include troubleshooting document management systems, training staff, ensuring document security, and performing quality control. Candidates should have high school graduation, two years of experience in records management or similar roles, and strong customer service skills.

They coordinate meter disconnections and reconnections for non-payment, work with collection agencies, and ensure customer service practices are up-to-date. Representatives may also support other team functions and participate in customer service pilot programs.
